Self Priming Pump - Perfect for the air and water mixture pumping

 About Self Priming Pumps

About Self Priming Pumps

Self priming pump is widely used for pumping water or any liquid material from one level to another. For moving water from source to destination, air and water both get combined to meet a completely ready pumping status. These types of pumps are more preferable for the industrial purposes depending on their quality and features.

Few pumps get fail to work when even a small amount of air get combined in the pump chamber. That time, you have to stop your work and have to remove the air for the smooth pumping process. But self priming pump overcome this drawback. They work very efficiently and without any hassle even if a pump gets a mixture of air and water. These pumps are specifically designed to get rid of this problem. It works in the same way as the water alone flows in the ordinary pumps. You will get no idea that your pump has air inside as it will not stop for a single minute due to the air presence. Self priming pump automatically removes every single particle of air and when it gets completed you will ultimately pump the water only. It has the power to deal with the air present in the pump but do not turn on the pump if there is no water.

Self Priming Pump Functioning

You must know how it actually works and give beneficial advantages to the various industrial applications.

Self priming pump starts operating when an air is mixed with water by flowing through the impeller. When the sufficient amount of air gets completely dissolved with the water, then this mixture is moved to the water reservoir by using the highly powerful centrifugal force. The process works in a very interesting way. The air get back to the impeller with the help of this force as it can easily be raised upwards because of the heavier weight of water than the mixture of air and water. With this effect, the air goes back to the impeller and goes removed from the mixture. But still few air particles are left in the mixture. The process of raising and moving the air to the impeller continues until every particle will not get removed from the mixture. When a single particle is dispelled out of the chamber, the air-free water moves to the suction line and then goes to the impeller. A self priming Centrifugal Pump will help to pull the water using the pressure energy.

A special water tank is used in the self priming pumps in order to carry the process of air removal from the mixture of air and water using the priming cycle. These pumps do not require any kind of ejector or vacuum pumps like used in other types of ordinary pumps.

Applications Of Self Priming Pumps

These pumps are used in several applications to ease the water or any liquid pumping process. They are used in petrochemical, mining, automotive and various other industries where heavy volume of liquids, water and chemicals has to pump out by mechanical action. The pumps do not generate any pressure, they are used just to flow the liquid from one level to another or from one location to another.

Use self priming pump to handle large volume of water or other heavy liquids with great ease without any vacuum or ejector pumps.
